Chris de la Nougerede.
Chris has a Diploma in Art and design from West Sussex College of Art and Design, and a BA (Hons) in Graphic design from Kent Institute of Art and design.
She has a far reaching passion for the arts; having been a window display artist in the UK she became a Fallas artist soon after moving to Spain in 2004. In her 9 years working in Fallas, she had great success, winning, with her team, many top prizes for their Fallas monuments. She was also the winner of the photographic competition XIV Saló fotogràfic "El Món de les Falles" in 2006 and winner of the Agencia Valenciana de Turisme competition in 2006 for the video "Així es fan les Falles". Other videos include "Como hacer un ninot de Falla" made in collaboration with Fartons Polo and Educo.
Recently she has had success with her paintings, participating in the Xàtiva street art exhibition "Carrers d'Art" in 2015 and illustrating the covers of two Fallas publications this year.
At Nova English School in Xàtiva, she teaches English through various arts and craft projects, including a Falla each year. All the children in the school learn the traditional and professional way of making Fallas monuments, part of their cultural heritage, and they learn English at the same time!
In 2016 she became a coach at the University of Valencia, international office.
